Completed in 2014, Tanek designed a 2,536 SF clinic space for Willow Midwives at Lake Calhoun Center with the goal of creating a peaceful, welcoming environment that reflects the clinic’s holistic approach to care. The design emphasizes warmth and calm through the use of natural materials, soft tones, and thoughtful lighting—offering patients the comfort of home with a spa-like atmosphere.

Every detail was considered to support Willow Midwives’ mission of celebrating diversity and honoring individual choices. The result is a nurturing space that promotes well-being, inclusivity, and a deeply personal care experience—aligning both design and function with the values of the practice.
