Minneapolis Portfolio Management Group (MPMG) a longstanding Minneapolis-based wealth management firm, recently relocated from the IDS Tower to a standalone building in Deephaven, aspiring to create a welcoming, home-like environment for both their team and clients. The design emphasizes comfort and warmth, with open, inviting front spaces that foster a family room atmosphere—perfect for gatherings and informal meetings—while behind the scenes, private offices ensure confidentiality. Key features include a fully equipped indoor kitchen with a large island connected to a formal conference room via a large sliding door, and an outdoor kitchen, putting green, and waterfall that reflect their hospitality focus. The aesthetic combines classic cherry wood finishes, crown molding, and white walls, blending modern updates with timeless finishes reminiscent of their existing space, creating an environment that feels both sophisticated and warm.

Central to their philosophy is the metaphor of the tortoise, symbolizing patience and discipline—values they prioritize in wealth building. Inspired by "The Tortoise & The Hare," the design incorporates a custom-built tortoise weathervane atop a rebuilt cupola, emphasizing their belief in a slow, steady approach to investment and long-term success. The outdoor features, including the outdoor kitchen and putting green, reinforce a family-oriented, relaxed atmosphere that encourages both business and personal connection.
