Tanek transformed the former Ramar Building—an Art Moderne-style structure located in the Washburn-Fair Oaks Historic District—into 54 for-sale residential condominiums and live-work units. The design preserved and celebrated the building’s architectural character, with open-plan layouts that feature high ceilings and exposed original trusses. The western portion of the basement was converted into indoor parking, while the eastern side was excavated to create walk-out units with direct access to Stevens Avenue. These unique units offer generous front yard spaces and flexible layouts ideal for live-work use, blending historic charm with modern urban living.
